John DentonJohn Denton Accredited Speaker

Maths Graduate, Greasy Spoon Chef, Mushroom Grower, Care Worker, Police Officer. John has been all these things at some stage in his life but since 2003 has been a full time, and fully addicted, member of the photographic profession.

His passion is for fashion based photography and using this style in weddings, portraits and workshops. Having been trained as a trainer in previous careers John knows the formal way to structure a training workshop. It's his infectious humour and energy, mixed with a practical approach to photography, that are the hallmark of his sessions.

John has worked with the Societies since 2009 and his sessions at Convention have rapidly become one of the must have tickets. He also presents regularly on the Members Day programme as well as running workshops around Europe and at his studio in East Yorkshire.

You can join John for any of his one day workshops, for a one to one session and also participate in his year long Studio Development Programme. If you do so the chances are that you'll also meet his wife Liz who is widely credited as being the true brain of the Denton Photography organisation.

John's workshops typically encompass light, pose, post production and marketing in the genres of art nude, fashion, model portfolios, weddings and portraits. He has also been known to play with Lions and Meerkats on workshops so nothing can be assumed.

Lighting for digital - Dave Montizambert looks at automation and naps
After spending a whole day lighting and shooting probably the last thing your poor aching mind and body wants to do is sit down to a computer and process the day’s RAW captures.
