Angling the heads as in the Figures above and, adopting the 'coastline' theory, we can generate a number of 'levels', where the model's contours seem to fit together well, just by varying the relative heights of our couple and tilting their heads. It must be said that not all subjects will be as slim as our models here. In real life, our face shapes are very variable so it takes our keen eye as photographers to look closely at our subjects to determine how their faces will fit together best.

Eye contact by one, both or neither of the subjects is also available to us in our library of poses. Figures 9, 10 and 11 offer three possibilities, all of which work for me.
