One of Click Props' biggest fans is photographer Grant McKelvie (dreamdayphotography.co.uk), who has recently become an Associate of the SWPP. Grant raves about how not only did Click Props' backgrounds help him towards such an accreditation - three of the shots in his portfolio were taken with them - but also recently saved the day at a wedding he was shooting.
"Sometimes I've been shooting a wedding and haven't had a great natural backdrop to work with, either because it's raining or the hotel interior is simply too busy with pictures everywhere, so I've used Click's backdrops," says Grant, who also shoots fashion and boudoir photography.
"I use them quite often at weddings to offer a bit of variety, especially for the group shots, and like the distressed looks." Grant will deploy the biggest 7x9.5ft background in Click's creative arsenal, and adds that the company has always been very helpful and friendly, with swift delivery times. "I've also got one background that says 'love' on it that works quite well, and one that apes a 'bokeh' effect. I usually take maybe two backgrounds with me in the car and vary it, generally more so if it rains and you're inside. Because then I can put one of these backgrounds up by a window and use the natural light coming in, plus a reflector at the other side. I also own a pink distressed Victorian-door style backdrop, which is perfect for the boudoir stuff."
