The Photography Show returns to the NEC, Birmingham on the 18-21 March, for four days packed with technology, talks and networking events await to help you drive your passion and your business forward.
A destination for all image creators, The Photography Show will feature the latest kit available at great show prices from over 220 exhibitors including Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Olympus, Panasonic, Sony, Profoto, MAC Group, Lowepro, The Flash Centre, Profoto, Epson and Manfrotto to name just a few. There’ll be new tech and innovation there too – from the latest 360° gear to apps and accessories that could be game-changers in the photography world.
There’s no shortage of opportunities to adopt new techniques and get business tips at the show; even as a professional photographer there’s always something new to learn. The Pro Conference will offer you crucial business advice for 2017, from pricing your images and valuing yourself to attracting new clients through personal projects. There are also many free seminars to drop into too. At the Live Stage, discover the secrets of creative techniques for wedding photography, lighting and styling for portraits and the fundamentals of newborn photography; sessions in the Behind the Lens Theatre include advice on how to make a name for yourself in photography and why you shouldn’t just ‘fit in’; and the Adobe Theatre will help you discover the latest tricks from the editing masters themselves.
New for this year is the Drone Zone and VR & 360° Stage. Get handy tips on how to get great shots using drones, see flying demos and understand the ins and outs of licensing to ensure you stay on the right side of the law; and take the time to take a look at how emerging technology could enhance your client services.
Last but not least, be inspired by one (or more!) of the Super Stage speakers. This year, the line-up includes highly sought after photographer Albert Watson, exploring the stories behind his images; Nadav Kander opens up in an exclusive interview about his work which includes portraits of Barack Obama and Donald Trump; and Frans Lanting examines his dialogues with nature from the Amazon to Antarctica. Also featuring are Magnum photographers Alex Webb and David Alan Harvey, as well as Jill Furmanovsky, Clive Arrowsmith, Julia Fullerton-Batten and Louis Cole. Tickets are available at £10 per session (make sure you have your entry pass beforehand).
