You are invited to submit speaking proposals for The Societies’ 2018 Convention in London, UK at the Hilton London Metropole hotel. Join world-renowned photographers and industry experts as we kick-start the 2018 photography calendar.

Speakers Selection

Speakers proposals will be selected based on suitability and significance of topic as well as indications that the presentation will be organised and well prepared. We will also consider balance in the range of topics, level of expertise and the interests covered.

Speaker proposals should contain the following information:

  • Title
  • Description
  • Name of person presenting.
  • Speaker’s Bio – Each session will consist of one speaker unless otherwise approved by The Societies of Photographers.
  • Advise if a demonstration will be provided and, if so, provide details of any special equipment needed to support your presentation or demonstration
  • List any other conferences where this material has been presented or will be submitted

The ‘big guns’ of the photo industry are gearing up for the 2017 Photo Trade Show in London.

Canon, Olympus, Sony, Fujifilm, Manfrotto, Elinchrom, Adobe and Zeiss are just some of the leading companies lined up to show their products at The Societies’ London Convention and Trade Show.

To date bookings have been flooding in with attendees eager to see what is on offer and to build their ‘wish list’ of gear for their upcoming year.

The Societies’ CEO Phil Jones says ‘This is a great opportunity to be the first to see new products and services on offer from major manufacturers in the photographic industry. The Trade Show also offers attendees a comprehensive schedule of live demonstrations and lectures which makes it a must for those who are serious about their photography’.

Photographers planning to visit the biggest photographic Convention ever held in Europe, can still access the Trade Show element of the London-based event free of charge, if they pre-register before 6 January 2017.

The three-day trade show organised by The Societies, will be held at the Hilton London Metropole Hotel, Edgware Road, London, W2 1JU, starting on Friday 13 January 2017.

Over 100 exhibitors are preparing to show the latest products and services from the photographic industry.

Phil Jones, The Societies’ CEO says, “There is no question that this show is a ‘must-do’ event for all serious photographers”

He added, “Many of the trade have negotiated special deals for the 2017 Trade Show. There will also be a range of free demonstrations from some of the key players within the industry, such as Adobe, The Flash Centre, Fujifilm…to name a few.

Fujifilm Photo Walks at The Societies’ 2017 Convention

Get hands-on with the latest Fujifilm X Series cameras and equipment at the Societies’ 2017 Convention.

At 13:00 and 15:00 on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the Convention you can join Fujifilm expert, Nathan Wake, for a unique photo walk where you can get hands on with the latest equipment. Limited to just 4 photographers per session, we envisage this will be a popular event. It is totally free of charge to attend and if you are thinking of purchasing a Fujifilm X Series camera or accessory then there is no better place to ‘try before you buy’, with expert advice on hand.
