Wedding photographers Julia and Martin Web – SWPP Membes

Julia began her Wedding Photography career when she met and married Martin [the other half of Spinning Your Dreams]. Their business has been established for over five years now. They have photographed over 200 weddings together and Julia generally accomplishes the candid photography and is photojournalistic in her coverage. She can be with the Bride whilst she is getting ready – whereas Martin can be with the guys!

Martin and Julia offer a service which is contemporary and matches perfectly what couples in the twenty-first century want from their wedding photography and photographers. Their service is totally consultative and a full brief is taken – this ensures that the couple have the day they want.   They offer a print-ready DVD or an Album or both!

They are relaxed and supportive and fun and above all care about how couples experience their Wedding Days. The memories of the day are also important and when everyone is having a great time – the result is great photographs.

Julia’s passion about Weddings is that they go to plan and that the Bride & Groom are having the time of their lives. This means that the photography is handled swiftly and considerately and that the couple have time to chat to their guests and have a great time. Moreover that there is no barrier between Julia and Martin and the guests – when guests are enjoying themselves and being kept in the loop you have relaxed and stress-free days! They will travel nationwide. Their Album partners are Queensberry of New Zealand

One of Julia’s favourite venues is Walcot Hall, Shropshire – loved because it is such a romantic setting.  An element of Spinning Your Dreams wedding photography style is ‘fairytale’ photographs.  Away – but not too far – from guests and a few moments together for the Bride and Groom guided by Julia and Martin – to capture how fabulously happy the couple are on their Big Day!

Trash the Dress is a new Stateside-born craze that’s sweeping across the Atlantic

SWPP & BPPA member Chanelle Segerius-Bruce was interviewed over the phone by Professional Photographer and images where printed in both the June and July issues of the magazine. Segerius-Bruce photography are offering what they call “Shoot the Dress” sessions as often the dress will be perfectly ok after a dry clean. They also offer next day shoots straight after the wedding day where highly creative shots of the bride and groom can be achieved. This worked especially well last week at a destination wedding that they shot in Cyprus.

Chanelle and her husband, Craig shoot weddings together.

Free Wedding Photography to help Cancer Research

Members of a UK photographic organisation the SWPP & BPPA have actively been debating on their Forum to raise cash for the charity cancer research.   The subject was raised on July 6th and within hours hundreds of photographers had indicated their support for the initiative

Many photographers had had either personal experience of cancer or it had touched a family member or close friend and are keen to raise money for this worthy cause.

While the debate is still open on the Forum members are planning a meeting to advance the plans.

Nikon Is On Par With The Open Golf Championship

July 2008:   Nikon is pleased to announce that it will be supporting The Open Golf Championship once again as a patron of the prestigious event.  The Championship takes place this year at Royal Birkdale, Lancashire, voted the best course in Britain and is amongst the best in the world, from 17th – 20th July 2008.

The Open Golf Championship is Nikon’s most significant worldwide sponsorship, having been a patron of the event since 1993. Last year Nikon committed to a five year deal, seeing its patronage extend until 2012 and ensuring a prominent brand presence at the event. The support has recently been heightened by activity with talkSPORT radio, with Nikon as the station’s official golf partner for the remainder of the golfing season.

Jeremy Gilbert, Group Marketing Manager, Nikon UK says: “Nikon’s patronage of The Open Golf Championship continues to be central to our sponsorship activity, effectively enhancing our brand message across the Nikon range. We are looking forward to this year’s event and maximising our position over the coming years.”

Visitors to the course should look out for Nikon’s retail unit in the Tented Village where they will be able to check out the latest in innovative consumer technology with the new COOLPIX range which is currently being advertised on TV! The new range of laser rangefinders, including the 350G, will also be on display and can be purchased on the day. Here, Nikon will also be hosting the ‘National Longest Drive Competition’ for charity. Those wanting to practice their swing and be in with a chance of winning a COOLPIX camera can come and take a shot, with proceeds going to the Princess Alice Hospice.

A dedicated photography service depot will be on site for professional photographers. Visitors should also look out for the team of Nikon photographers who will be capturing The Open experience in pictures as souvenirs for visitors, which can be downloaded for free from after the event.
