The Speakers bio - Convention Schedule January 2017
Bill is 60+ years old, and has had a previous background in education, which led to his educating young people of various ages. When Bill retired from his previous employment 12 years ago, and was fortunate to continue educating for a couple of years, teaching basic digital photography in a local school to year 7 pupils.
His passion for Photography started when Bill was just 10 years old, however it has really just developed (pardon the pun) since the introduction of digital, and it has only become serious and more focused since becoming a member of The Societies just over 6 years ago. At this time Bill also registered as a Photography business. Membership of the Societies has brought him much success, with an Associate Qualification and two annual awards for Architecture. Bill has been extremely fortunate too, and has had nominations for four successive years.
Bill has exhibited in a number of locations in Northern Ireland, and has also appeared on The BBC Northern Ireland Arts Show when his images were highlighted in a programme specifically dedicated to Architecture, where Bill was given the opportunity to speak about his passion for Architecture.
Bill will be involved in a teaching type roll again this year when he will be taking photography tours at Northern Ireland's latest tourist attraction - The Gobbins - with one subject being Architectural Photography. Bill has a further exhibition in Northern Ireland planned for the full month of May this year.
