The Speakers bio - Convention Schedule January 2018
Kristina Zambrano, a Venezuelan-Spanish born Pet Photographer, she began her photography journey on march 2005, when her puppy a Siberian Husky passed away and realised that she only got one 4x6" printed of this puppy and nothing else to remember him, later that year for her birthday she got her Golden Retriever pup and so she went to a basic photography course in her home country and promised that she would record all her daily adventures with her new puppy and hers family. Then in 2008 the political and socio-economic situation of her country made her take the decision of pursuing her so-called hobby as a Career and began her studies at the Vancouver Institute of Media Arts in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
She graduate in 2011 as the only Venezuelan, and the only one in her class with a nal portfolio in Pet Photography, since then she had worked for private individuals as a public and commercial companies like Pacic Assistance Dogs Society of British Columbia, BC SPCA, St. John Ambulances - Therapy Dogs Division in Canada, Paws & Fangs Shelter Foundation in Guatire Venezuela between others. Also being recognised and awarded internationally by WPPI USA - Twice Honor of Excellency Award Silver Distinction, Twice Gold Distinction and Triple Honorable Mention by PX3 Prix de la Photographie in Paris, France, One Highly Commended on Sept 2015 Monthly Competition by SWPP UK, One Honorable Mention by International Photography Awards in New York, USA, One Achievement in Originality in San Diego, CA USA and being Finalist at the Pet Portrait Contest in 2014 by ViewBug and others.
Kristina also had been featured on Publications all around the world and locally in her home country, interviewed on Venezuelan National TV and A Famous Venezuelan News Channel Globovision also in Venezuelan Radio and has been part of Art Fairs and Exhibitions in Venezuela and Internet by her Photography School "VanArts" in Canada and USA. She is member of WPPI USA, PPA USA, SWPPI, AVECOFA Venezuela, Female Entrepreneur Association International, Female Photographers Association, HeartsSpeak and Joy Session.
PS: .... and she loves a very good White Chocolate Mocha from Starbucks on glorious afternoon at the dog park with her darkest sidekick Nik (aka her Nikon Camera) and her dog Kovack, sadly her golden retriever passed away before this biography was released
