The world of professional wrestling is far removed from the bubble of a home studio set up to shoot images of babies and bumps, but this Masterclass is designed to show you how skills from different portrait fields can be transferable, not only creatively but also in business.
This talk is a story abbout how a photographer, stuck in a creative rut, decided to step outside of his comfort zone and engross himself in a world of biceps, babyoil and brilliance. James will take you through his project “A Portrait of a Wrestler” and explain how it was conceived, how it evolved, how it was shot on a budget and how the skills he learnt were instantly transferable into his day to day family portraiture.
But just as importantly, this Masterclass about the people he otherwise wouldn’t have met, their stories, their background, their hopes and their dreams. It’s a practical talk on real photography from a real working photographer with open and honest advice.
Sponsored by Loxley Colour and The Flash Centre.
All bookings are final. We reserve the right to change speakers and exhibitors without notice.
