Paul Walker
In his professional career, Paul Walker has photographed most animals so
often categorised as a “pet” from horses, cats and dogs through to
rabbits, guinea pigs and those trouser climbing “pole cats”. A self
professed animal lover, his passion for photographing our animal
companions began at an early age in his childhood with subjects
including his pet duck, various dogs and cats and a series of rabbits
and guinea pigs.
Today Paul’s animal and pet photography is well known and highly
regarded all across the UK and beyond. Indeed in 2007 Paul’s work
captured the attention of the Ilex Press who commissioned him to write a
book called ‘Pet Photography Now’. In March 2008 Paul also won the
“Animal and Pets” title in the MPA Scotland awards. This followed a
string of other awards for his pet photography attained since turning
professional.
Paul has met some of his greatest challenges through his animal and pet
photography assignments and has invested a great deal of time observing
and understanding the psychology and behaviour patterns of pets. His pet
work can be found under the brand of Paws Pet Photography, with the
accompanying website at www.pawspetphotography.co.uk.
Paul Walker has an Exhibition here.
