Type business: Semi Professional Photographer My photographic style: Natural unposed images with a spontaneous feel for the most part. Love using lighting for dramatic effect. My greatest strengths: I'm bright, energetic and on a fantastic photographic journey. I know I'm less than halfway there. I have been in photography: Nearly 30 years How I got started in photography: An old Pentax borrowed from my dad and the school darkroom. My photographic skills: Inventive, entrepreneurial, creative, technophile. I love working under pressure and prepare accordingly. My personality: Enthusiastic, innovative, confident. Love to work with people on anything creative. Geographic areas I cover: I am based in Cambridge and happy to travel anywhere in the world. I travel a lot and always take at least three items. My camera and a right and a left running shoe. Venues I frequently attend: Derelict buildings, striking landscapes - anywhere with texture and colour. I found inspiration from: The thousands of amateur and professional image-makers whose work I come across daily - and anyone shooting in a war zone. Success in photography: I have never considered competitions until now and have no formal qualifications beyond Art O'level. I have had some of my sports work published in newspapers and annual reports. Photographic training: Lots of reading, hands on with lots of cameras, lighting, software and printers. I am committed to training on-line (Lynda.com etc) and hands on and have attended a range of professional masterclasses. My interests outside photography: Sport, Software Design, Business Major events: Three times Ironman finisher, Lanzarote. London and other marathons. On the winning team of the Three Peaks Yacht Race, Telegraph Trophy. Started three companies, 1 listed on the LSE, another sold to trade in 2010 and one (local history photography) just getting going. Turning to full time professional is the next!
