Preferring natural, relaxed and reportage style photography My greatest strengths: Calm, easy going and the ability to work with everyone. Able to work well under pressure and tight deadlines but always maintaining high standards and a professional approach. Creative photography and album design. Good knowledge of photoshop and other image editing software to produce beautifully finished images. I have been in photography: Very keen amateur for 20+ years and the last 10 years as a semi/professional photographer How I got started in photography: I enrolled at evening classes in 2000 for 2 years - we covered all darkroom work, (colour and black & white) and studio lighting. I then enrolled for a two year full time course (national diploma) which I completed in 2004 with full distinctions. Covering all aspects of photography from film and digital to studio work, alternative processes and presentation styles My photographic skills: Organised, methodical, responsible. Good with people, will listen to what the customer would like and then produce high quality goods and services to meet and exceed customers expectations. Will offer guidance and direction to all clients. Skilled in using photoshop and other software packages to produce well finished images. Technically competent My personality: Calm and easy going. Can deal with people at all levels, Friendly and approachable. Geographic areas I cover: South East England, Mainly Sussex Venues I frequently attend: All venues from Registry Offices, Churches, Hotels to Marquee's in a field. I've worked at some of the Sussex's most well known venues, for example Brighton Pavilion, South Lodge, Alexander House, as well as many hotels in Brighton, The Grand, Hotel Du Vin, The Metropole, The Seattle at Brighton Marina. From small country churches to converted warehouses. I found inspiration from: All photographs inspire me to do more, to learn from them and always keep developing and evolving ideas. I'm inspired by images that show the emotion of a wedding day, and the character of the individual. I'm inspired by many photographers, particularly Jane Bown for amazing natural black and white portraits. Sophie Calle for her ideas, Garry Winogrand for his dedication, Ansel Adams for his patience, Duane Michaels for his sequences, Walker Evans for his eye, Henri Cartier-Bresson for his moment, Robert Doisneau for 3 seconds of Eternity, Edward Weston for form, shape & patterns, Berenice Abott and Dorothea Lange for social history and W Eugene Smith for honesty.
