Glamour, Sensual Boudoir
Portrait photography

Known as “The Women’s Photographer”, what Kim Fontaine does for her “Sensual Boudoir” and wedding clients is to put them at ease, bringing out their wonderful qualities, maintaining dignity and at the same time hiding any negative areas. I think everyone will agree that men are very “visual,” however women can be very critical of their bodies and while wanting to give something so personal to the man in their life, they feel a need to bond with someone that is photographing them in this light.

Incorporating “Sexiness” into the pre-ceremony or “Intimate” photos of the bride and groom at some point during the portrait session or reception, is becoming requested more and more lately. Trust between client and photographer is a huge priority in this particular business and having two daughters, Kim upholds the highest of ethics. Her photography is very tastefully and artistically captured, if you ever see her presentation.

My photographic style: My photographic style is romantic and free-style. Capturing the moment to best describe the mood set by the bride & groom so that they will be able to tell their story in their album.

My greatest strengths: My greatest strengths are my ability to adapt, stay calm and be the voice of reason during a most stressful moments of a wedding day.

I have been in photography: I have been a photographer all my life.

How I got started in photography: I started photographing when my grandmother gave me a camera for Christmas at the age of 11.

My photographic skills: I had a brief modelling career and then realized that I would rather be photographing women, so my key skills and/or abilities would be knowing how nervous a woman can be in front of the camera, especially in a boudoir setting. I have an innate ability in making women feel relaxed and good about themselves, lowering the stress levels during a sensual boudoir session.

My personality: My personality is very easy going, laid back but high energy-sort of a conundrum. Geographic areas I cover: I am available on location worldwide. Venues I frequently attend: I love watching sports, especially college football and professional baseball.

I found inspiration from: I get inspiration from looking at other professional photographer's sites. I have many in my "favourites' Success in photography: I love to conduct seminars, teaching other professionals the marketing, lighting, posing techniques and ethics of sensual boudoir portraiture.

Photographic training: I attend as many seminars and conventions as possible. I am a member of NAPP.

My interests outside photography: I love to read; periodicals or just fiction novels.

Major events: Having raised two healthy, beautiful daughters, both living away from home now.

Testimonials: Duane Long: "I have watched Kim work and can tell you, she works non-stop letting up only to sleep, or better, to educate herself; which is often. She will rise to the top and be teaching among the masters one day. I only wish I had the vision she does.", Jim Shaw: "Not only does she create outstanding images, she teaches other professionals how to do it. She has a real keen eye for the romantic and the most outstanding poses.", Cynthia O'Riordan: "Besides being a professional in her field, Kim is also a "friend" by the time you walk out her door. I used her for my older daughter's wedding 2 years ago and have just signed her on for my younger one's wedding in December. I live 50 miles south of Kim's studio but never considered shopping around after seeing her work. "

Why I like the SWPP BPPA: I really appreciate the fact that the SWPP and BPPA seem to really care about us as individuals.

Tagline: . . . "The Women's Photographer" Future plans: My future plans are to travel to Europe and hopefully teach there soon.

And finally: I am very well known throughout Southeast Florida, USA as "The Women's Photographer".

Error:

Can't verify file locking - aborting.

Make sure the following has been observed:

Unix Servers:
  • housefootban.cgi is writable by this script
  • If a file locking problem, make sure the directory this script resides in is writable. Note, the directory does not have to be writable for the script to write to files, only for it to create files. File creation is required for proper file locking.
Windows NT systems:
  • housefootban.cgi must be writable and accessible by the script
  • banner.cgi must be able to write to files and create files
  • On some NT systems, the variable near the top of banner.cgi must be set. It is currently set as follows:
      $main::housefootban_path = "housefootban";
Note that under most systems, "." is fine. This specifies that it is set to the current directory. However, some NT systems require the full server path. Contact your system administrator to find the full path to your cgi-bin directory.
If you still have trouble, contact Banner@linc2u.com and I will attempt to help.
