Sharron Goodyear photographer in Kent UK Type business: Full Time Professional Photographer My photographic style: lifestyle photography, relaxed, candid, contemporary and fun. My greatest strengths: Making people feel at ease in front of the camera in order to get the most out of them and the shoot. I have been in photography: 5 years How I got started in photography: I bought a film SLR camera and started shooting everything from still life to people. A friend approached me and asked if I'd photograph his wedding, which I agreed to nervously. I really enjoyed it and they were very pleased with the images and so I knew from that moment that this was what I was meant to do. My photographic skills: Working with natural light, posed photography and photojournalism. My personality: Outgoing, friendly, intelligent and fun. Geographic areas I cover: Kent, Surrey and Sussex. Venues I frequently attend: Anything that captures the imagination and has the opportunity to make an interesting photo, be it dramatic or simple. I found inspiration from.: The masters, Jeff Ascough, Jerry Ghionis, Marcus Bell... Success in photography: Last year I qualified for my LSWPP. I have won 3 gold’s in the monthly image competition. One for wedding photojournalism, one for bridal portraiture and one for environmental portraiture. Photographic training: Self taught but been on numerous courses and seminars. My interests outside photography: My children. Major events: Having given birth last year to my beautiful daughter Grace. Why I like the SWPP: The mentor me programme and the monthly competition - a good source of inspiration. Is also a great way to connect the photographic community. Tagline: Go confidently in the direction of your dreams, live the life you've imagined. Future plans: To grow my photography business and eventually have my own studio.
