Scottish Wedding Awards 2013 - South East Wedding Photographer Of The Year Type business: Full Time Professional Photographer My photographic style: My photographic style is modern but also classic. Essentially my style reflects the wishes of my clients. My greatest strengths: My clients tell me that I am great to work with and extremely professional. I have been in photography: I have had my own professional photography business for six years but have worked in photography for far longer than that. How I got started in photography: My photographic career began in 1988 when I started working in the camera department of a specialist film and television company. My photographic skills: I photographed and filmed so many different things over the years that I would count adaptability as one of my key skills. My personality: I am warm, friendly and outgoing. I am not a stroppy photographer. Geographic areas I cover: I am based in Central Scotland but will travel anywhere, even if it necessitates an overnight stay. Venues I frequently attend: Any venue which gives a great backdrop for photography suits me fine...Atholl Palace, Balbirnie House, Wedderburn Castle, Norton House Hotel, Fortingall Hotel, Castle Campbell and Solsgirth House are great venues but Scotland has so many good ones it's hard to choose. I found inspiration from: My inspiration principally comes from my clients. A good rapport with my couples ensures that we get great photos, whether we're using a beach, a woodland or a farm shed as our setting! Success in photography: I am a qualified SWPP member (LBPPA) and have recently started entering the monthly SWPP competitions. My best score so far is a Silver for Bridal Portraiture. Onwards and upwards!! Photographic training: I have an A Level in Photography (Grade A) - the rest of my training has been on the job.
