I believe I am a wedding photographer with a difference; I want the photos I take to be fun, so I aim to be 'fun' and to help you smile naturally(!) throughout your big day. My style is relaxed, upbeat, professional but most of all fun Semi Professional Photographer My photographic style: Professional, relaxed and fun My greatest strengths: Working with people and helping them to feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. Helping wedding guests to feel included in every aspect of the photography session. I have been in photography: 10 years How I got started in photography: Watching my father working with his camera gave me the inspiration to pick up the camera but I didn't take it too seriously until 10 years ago... then I fell in love with it all over again! My photographic skills: Capturing pictures quickly and without fuss, but also with a sense of humour to ensure energy levels are maintained throughout the pictures. My personality: Open, honest, relaxed and fun. I LOVE being around people and I like to capture what makes people happy; Weddings! Geographic areas I cover: The UK! Venues I frequently attend: Venues where the staff appreciate that the photographer has an important part to play and I'm not there to cause trouble or hold up their plans! I like venues that have picturesque surroundings, but the couple chose it for a reason so I work hard to make every venue look stunning. I found inspiration from: Life and every photographer I've met has inspired me in one way or another. Success in photography: None.. so far! Photographic training: I'm currently working through the Photographic Institute training course but I use the camera everyday and my education has never really started, or will end! My interests outside photography: Family, friends and keeping fit. I also read widely on the subject of photography and I've written and published my own (fictional) novel. I'm also a qualified Life Coach so my interest in people is more than photographing their images, it's capturing their personalities too. Major events: Getting married, having children, losing my father. I've loved and lost in what seem's equal measure but these are certainly the 'major' events in my life. Testimonials: Testimonials are on my website and I'm really pleased that the thread that you see through out them is that their wedding guests complemented me as much as the bride and groom. I feel this is a sure sign that I've added to, not detracted from the couples big day. Why I like the SWPP: The ImageMaker magazine and the forums... very very helpful!
