Durham. I work with a small team to provide fantastic photographs and create and preserve beautiful memories. I am a 33 year old mother of two children aged 8 (a little tinker but really really beautiful) and 10 ( who suffers for Aspergers' syndrome and ADHD) who are my absolute world and my inspiration for doing what I do, I have always worked full time in various jobs and put my photography second but now that my children are older I have had the confidence to grow and open my studio in August 2010 to which I have never looked back. I trained in Art, design and Photography at the age of 17 at Derwentside College, Consett. I then gained knowledge in a wider field of subjects such as NVQ level 3 in Child learning and development, beauty therapy and business studies, I've worked in various sectors such as the civil service, Business Link and local shops to support my children, this was particularly hard when I was a single parent. I then decided to take an online course in Photography at a later date and decided to make this my full time career. I have been lucky in my first year and people have entrusted in and supported me in what I am doing and I have my partner and children especially to thank, I work long hours and I’m not around as much as they would like especially as I have had the pleasure of being the 'memory preserver' at 45 weddings this year and am booked until 2013! I love my work at the studio and I’m not afraid to go out of my comfort zone it’s a long way from the old 35mm camera and film but I'm constantly looking for and trying out new ideas and techniques.
