Architectural Stock images Commercial images Landscape photos Press & PR Forensic medical Richard Tipett photographer in Bristol Type business: Semi Professional Photographer My photographic style: All images are crafted with the customers specific needs in mind. From traditional wedding and portraiture to a more creative style with the help of artistic imagination and the use of imaging software. Commercial jobs and specialist photography such as live events are covered with the skill and attention to detail you would expect from a true professional. My greatest strengths: We pride ourselves on a high standard of customer service. We believe that in order to create photography that the client is excited by we must sit down and discuss at length the clients requirements before we can fully understand the type and style of photography to suggest. I have been in photography: I have been a photographer for 25 years. How I got started in photography: I first became interested in photography in my early teens and after using a series of compacts I purchased my first SLR ( a Practica MTL5) from a friend. I then moved on through various SLR's to a Nikon F3 which i used primarily to shoot live bands at the Bristol Bierkeller including Ian Gillan,Uriah Heep & Magnum. My photographic skills: Aside from my skills as a photographer, which you would expect, i have excellent customer service and listen to the client. I will suggest ideas but i am always aware that the clients needs come first, my job is to fulfill a brief not take over someone else's baby as it were. My personality: I am very friendly and approachable but can be tough when required to get the job done. Geographic areas I cover: I mostly concentrate on the southwest and Wales but will travel anywhere. Venues I frequently attend: I am happy at any venue and love to make the most of the opportunities each venue presents. I found inspiration from: I am inspired by nature and the beauty of light. I love the old school photographers like Ansel Adams and Cartier Bresson and the landscape work of David Noton and Charlie Waite. Success in photography: I have been awarded my licentiateship with the SWPP which was a great honour and have had work published in magazines and a book on the Old Granary in Bristol as well as achieving a city & guilds in photography. I have had an exhibition sponsored by Bristol city council. I am a photographer for Mast the Magazine and have certificates for printing from Kodak and Fuji. Photographic training: I studied at South West Training in Bath and then at Brunnel College in Bristol and have been a professional printer qualifying with Kodak, Fuji and Agfa. My interests outside photography: I am a qualified life coach and enjoy reading and music, both playing (guitar) and listening. Major events: I have three amazing children Jason, Jade and Grace. Testimonials: Will be posted on my new website which will be live by the end of May. Why I like the SWPP: It is an organisation which helps promote and improve all of its members through training and advice. Tagline: Stunning images hand crafted to your personal requirements. Future plans: To build my business on the strengths of excellent customer service and award winning photography. More Photographers around Bristol
