Hahnemhle has showcased Bamboo 290 and FineArt Baryta 325 in Barcelona, Shanghai, Paris and New York trade shows, with Focus 2008 marking its official launch in the UK. The new products have been very favourably received by photographers worldwide and are available in UK stores now.
Environmental Paper Bamboo 290gsm
Hahnemhle FineArt has developed the world's first FineArt inkjet paper made from highly renewable bamboo fibres. The natural white paper with a warm tone combines spiritual photography with environmentally friendly materials. Bamboo 290 consists of ultra-pure fibres from highly renewable bamboo grass and pure spring water. The 23rd paper from the international award-winning Hahnemhle Digital FineArt Collection renders the sensual connection between art and paper palpable and visible.
Bamboo 290 has been awarded First Prize for 'Creative Product of the Year' at Paperworld's Creative Impulse awards. As the first FineArt inkjet paper to be made of 90% bamboo fibres, 10% cotton Rag, it conserves valuable resources. Bamboo 290's natural white tone makes it particularly suitable for warm-hued colours. The wide colour gamut and extreme colour density ensures detailed FineArt prints with a 3 dimensional image sharpness. In an award winning environmental initiative, Hahnemhle will donate a fixed amount depending on product size from the sale of each Bamboo paper product towards four exciting projects which have been proposed on www.green-rooster.com by the public. Voting on the projects finishes at the end of 2008, when the total amount donated will be divided accordingly between the chosen projects.
Glossy FineArt Baryta 325gsm
The eagerly anticipated fibre based FineArt Baryta 325 is a brilliant white, 100% Alpha-Cellulose, ultra-smooth, high gloss, fibre based paper, with a unique glossy surface similar to traditional baryta papers. Setting the benchmark for high colour depth, large colour gamut, image definition and extremely high dmax, FineArt Baryta is ideal for brilliant black and white prints with the finest grey nuances as well as luminous colour prints. Using a true barium sulphate in the premium inkjet coating ensures the typical gloss that makes this paper a genuine replacement for traditional Baryta papers from analogue laboratories. FineArt Baryta possesses the exquisite tactile, sensuous surface typical to Hahnemhle papers. As with all other products in the Hahnemhle Digital FineArt Collection these two new products are extremely age resistant.
