Panasonic Supports LUMIX G GH3 Launch Showcasing Latest Digital Imaging Range at photokina 2012

Panasonic will be demonstrating its ongoing leadership in digital imaging, focusing on its latest product and connectivity innovations at photokina 2012

From the 18th September 2012, Panasonic's photokina booth will showcase its latest LUMIX G Digital Single Lens Mirrorless DSLM cameras, as well as its range of compact cameras and HD camcorders. The booth will allow visitors to try out Panasonic's latest products, gain advice from its LUMIX experts and take part in interactive demonstrations and shooting opportunities.

LUMIX G area
As the inventors of the Digital Single Lens Mirrorless DSLM category, Panasonic was the first company to launch a DSLM camera -the LUMIX G1 at photokina 2008. This year, Panasonic will be demonstrating its knowledge and expertise in this category at the booth's LUMIX G area. Panasonic's entire mirrorless camera line-up including G, GF, GX and GH models will be on show, with the new G5 and latest addition to the G family, the LUMIX GH3, centre stage. In the LUMIX GH3 section visitors will be able to use a professional rig to find out for themselves exactly how the new camera is pushing the boundaries of video quality from an interchangeable lens camera. A video editing section can be used for post production of material shot with the LUMIX GH3 with Apple, Magix or Grass Valley software.

The LUMIX G zone will also include a lens area, which will showcase Panasonic's 17 Micro Four Thirds lenses - the world's largest range of compatible lenses. These include Panasonic's new high-quality weather sealed LUMIX G X series 12-35mm and 35-100mm lenses, offering pinpoint sharpness and F2.8 brightness throughout the zoom ranges, with a premium and rugged design.

Furthermore, there will also be live picture taking sessions and presentations at the LUMIX G Stage, expert advice provided at the LUMIX G Consulting area, and a demonstration of the size and weight advantages of DSLM cameras in the Mirrorless Concept area.

LUMIX Compact area
Panasonic will display its latest line-up of compact digital cameras at its LUMIX Compact area. This will include its most advanced premium compact digital camera yet, the LUMIX LX7; and the latest addition to its super-zoom compact digital camera range, the LUMIX FZ200 with its bright F2.8 aperture available throughout the entire zoom range. There will be dark shooting areas to show off the capabilities of the cameras' bright lenses, and demonstrate their ability to take perfect photography even in low-light conditions. The area will also feature a LUMIX Compact Consulting area, where visitors can get advice on the best compact camera for their personal requirements.

HD Camcorder area
In the HD Camcorder area, Panasonic will showcase its latest innovations in both professional and consumer camcorders. The flagship models in the consumer range -the X900 and X800 camcorders - provide Panasonic's highest-ever camcorder image quality due to the combination of the 3MOS System Pro, the Leica Dicomar Lens with Nano Surface Coating Technology, and the Crystal Engine Pro II.

Meanwhile Panasonic's latest professional camcorders -the AC90 and AC160 -will be on display and available to try out, combining the high image quality, advanced functions and easy operation that professionals demand in stylish, easy-to-handle designs.

LUMIX Connectivity area
Panasonic has one of the the widest product connectivity concepts in the industry and this and a small part of this will be demonstrated in its LUMIX Connectivity area with TV's, Blu-ray players and cameras all connecting wirelessly. At the centre of this will be the new LUMIX GH3 with Wi-Fi functionality, enabling a new freedom and versatility in professional photography and videography by allowing users to easily review and upload content.

Also on show will be Panasonic's LUMIX SZ5, its new compact camera which provides rich connectivity options -from Wi-Fi, to DNLA to smartphone functionality -simplifying the process of posting your images and videos online.

The LUMIX Connectivity area will also demonstrate how the Wi-Fi compatibility of Panasonic's other products - such as its Blu-Ray recorders - make sharing and storing images and videos easier than ever.

SD card, batteries and Printing Station
In addition, Panasonic will also be showcasing some of the accessories that are key components of its digital imaging leadership, including its fast and high capacity SD cards, and its Eneloop and Evolta batteries.

The booth will also feature a Panasonic Printing Station powered by Epson, enabling visitors to print out and take home any images they've taken with Panasonic cameras around the booth.
