Canon launches range of high-performance, highly connected i-SENSYS laser multifunctional devices

Canon, world-leader in imaging solutions, has refreshed its range of high-performance and compact colour i-SENSYS laser multifunction devices (MFDs)

With the launch of two new series; the i-SENSYS MF8200 and MF8500. Offering outstanding quality and connectivity features, the five new compact laser devices help small offices and workgroups work faster and with greater flexibility.

Designed to be easily shared by a team, the new i-SENSYS MFDs integrate seamlessly into an office environment. Both series come network-ready as standard and provide users with the ability to print with ease from a range of mobile and other web-connected devices, using Canon's Mobile Printing App 1, Apple AirPrint or Google Cloud Print. The i-SENSYS MF8280Cw and MF8580Cdw also feature Wi-Fi connectivity and enable businesses to set-up wireless printing around the office quickly and easily.

Anil Jagpal, European Marketing Manager for i-SENSYS at Canon Europe, comments Printers or scanners with Wi-Fi connectivity can be hugely beneficial for small offices and workgroups. According to our recent Office Insights Report 2, more than two-thirds of end-users feel that these devices can improve their productivity.

The new i-SENSYS devices also come with a variety of features that allow small offices and workgroups to streamline processes and save valuable time. The SEND feature of the i-SENSYS MF8500 series enables users to capture paper-based documents and send them straight from the device to an email address or network folder. Both of the new i-SENSYS series also allow users to scan and send documents to, or print from, USB sticks, offering additional convenience.

Users' productivity is further enhanced on the i-SENSYS MF8500 series through a 50 sheet Duplex Automatic Document Feeder, a maximum paper capacity of up to 550 sheets, and fast automatic duplex printing as standard, which also helps to save paper and reduce environmental impact by ensuring a greater number of pages are printed double-sided.

Anil Jagpal continues We know that our customers increasingly need an office solution to manage their documents from paper to digital and back again -and through a variety of devices. Our new high-performance colour laser MFDs support Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print, and provide small offices and workgroups with the connectivity and flexibility they need to work more productively.

The new devices also speed up common office workflows. Users can configure One-Touch solution keys with frequently used functions, while Quick First-Print technologies reduce the time for the first output page when printing from sleep mode. The new MFDs also feature impressive print speeds of up to 20 ppm.

Anil Jagpal adds Our new i-SENSYS laser MFDs provide a great solution for small offices or workgroups that require superior quality output. They feature Canon's Dual Direct Mapping Technology, Pure Black Technology and Auto Gradation System, enabling users to produce accurate and consistent colour print outs and high-quality, black-and-white text documents.

The new i-SENSYS MF8500 series also come with premium security features that allow users to set up a secure printing environment without any additional costs. Using Canon's Secure Print Capability, documents are only printed once the user has entered their password successfully at the device, which keeps company information safe.

The new i-SENSYS devices will be available across the UK & Ireland from the 15th May 2013.
