Kenro Ltd, the exclusive UK and Ireland distributor of Saramonic audio equipment, has announced the immediate availability of a great value audio adapter and microphone kit - the Saramonic MixMic SRH5M.

Having been recently launched to rave reviews, the new Saramonic MixMic Kit is designed to help you get the best possible sound quality from your DSLR camera, on a budget.

The kit includes a shotgun microphone SRNV5 with deadcat, two pro-standard XLR inputs with phantom power, an XLR audio cable, and a really smart audio adapter that conveniently mounts on the top of your camera.

The adapter, powered by 9V battery, allows you to connect your camera to the included shotgun microphone and/or other professional-level microphones, mixing consoles and sound studios.

The controls are very straightforward and easy to use, and the dual XLR terminals allow maximum operating flexibility, providing separate volume controls for each of the two channels as well as gain setting and wind noise reduction. The mic/line input switching assists in capturing detailed recording levels and control of low frequency sound.

Saramonic has given careful thought to its use in the field, and stand-out features include top rather than underneath mounting of the adapter, pronounced side mounting of XLR socket 1 for easy identification in dimly lit situations, carefully positioned second cold shoe on the top and also a mic management cable holder underneath, to prevent issues with loose cables.

If only one microphone is to be used on camera, the second cold shoe can be used to mount a wireless receiver for a radio mic, keeping everything neatly in one place.

Theres an excellent independent review of the Saramonic MixMic SRH5M by DSLR Film Noob on YouTube.

Paul Kench, Kenro's managing director, says ''Although fairly new to the UK and Irish market, Saramonic has already gained many loyal brand followers. This audio adapter and mic kit really is something special it offers great functionality and fantastic value for money.''
