Phottix Lights The Way With New Accessory Range

Award Winning Odin II - now available for Sony users

Following its successful launch earlier this year, Phottix is delivering on its promise to provide the very best system available, with the release of its brand new Odin II TTL Flash Trigger - now available for Sony cameras.

The Odin II allows more control than ever before. The controls are logical, simple to use, and allow extremely fast adjustments. You can now control five channels or groups of lights at the touch of a button, in TTL Mode or in a combination of full manual mode and TTL - the choice is yours.

The Odin II for Sony is also backward-compatible with the original Odin system, Phottix Mitros Speedlights, the award-winning Indra360 and Indra500 TTL Studio lights.

A total of 32 channels can be used. Channels 5 to 32 use the full functionality of the Odin II receiver, including a user-set digital ID for the ultimate in secure triggering. Users can remotely control Speedlight zoom settings, providing the perfect coverage from a wide angle to a spot light. When shooting with the Phottix Indra360/500 series, the Odin II transmitter also offers remote modelling light control and full light ratio controls.

For creative photographers, there's also High Speed Sync with TTL flashes and Overdrive Sync with manual, enabling flash photography at up to 1/8000 second. The newly added AF assist light also makes autofocus a breeze in dimly lit locations. An additional ten custom functions allow users to customise the Odin II, including switching on/off the audible beep, screen brightness, an AF Illuminator function and the ODS system control functionality, as well as a full factory reset should you need it.

Available NOW, Odin II for Sony is priced at 160.

The Phottix Cerberus Multi Mount is the new all-in-one system for mounting hot shoe flashes to lightshapers. Named after the mythical three-headed dog which the Greeks said guards the gates of the underworld, the Cerberus system allows speedlights to be securely mounted to Bowens S-mount, Elinchrom and Phottix Transfolder accessories.

The patented Griffin mount uses a jaw-like clamp structure to securely clamp the head of almost any hot shoe flash in a spring-loaded clamp lined with grippy, rubber-like material.

The system is available in different combinations

  • Bowens S compatible Speedring
  • Elinchrom compatible Speedring

Designed with the assistance of Phottix's alliance partner Elinchrom, the Phottix Elinchrom Adapter has been introduced to allow Elinchrom users to fit their reflectors, softboxes, beauty dishes and other accessories to the front of Indra 500 and 360 units, so they can take advantage of the Indra's TTL feature set and Odin triggering. The super-slim nature of the adapter minimises the light loss normally associated with such adapters.
