Manfrotto, world leader in the photography, imaging equipment and accessories industry, has announced the release of the new Befree Advanced collection.

Setting the new standard in travel photography, the Befree Advanced is the perfect tripod for advanced hobbyist photographers who want to maximise performance when they are travelling.

The Befree Advanced is sturdy yet portable with easy set-up and operation. It is built with the goal of providing a professional, sturdy solution for photographers using their mirrorless and DSLR cameras on the go. The new Befree Advanced Collection has been designed with exciting features and includes two new models which feature the M-lock twist lock and the QPL Travel lever lock.

The new Befree Advanced M-lock twist lock is the brand-new tripod locking system built to provide a fast, easy to use and compact solution.

The Befree Advanced QPL Travel lever lock is a brand-new, lighter version of the locks used by the 190 & 055 collections. These new leg locks make set-up and adjustment easy and secure, providing full stability in all configurations.

Both tripods feature new ergonomic leg-angle selectors that are smartly positioned to enable right and left-handed photographers to change shooting perspectives intuitively. The new spider is designed to give maximum stability on all types of terrain whilst ensuring that the tripod is compact enough to fit perfectly into any travel luggage. The addition of the Easy Link makes it ideal to add any accessory and the integrated hook allows you to hang extra weight on the tripod.

The Befree Advanced collection also features a new Manfrotto 494 aluminium Centre ball head. A small but powerful and intuitive head, the 494 allows quick and precise camera movements on the go and features three independent controls.

The main knob manages the sphere lock, the independent panoramic knob is ideal for shooting landscape shots and a new integrated friction knob works on the ball tension to perfectly balance the equipment. Additionally, the head mounts the 200PL-PRO - a unique aluminium plate - for full compatibility with the most widespread head attachments Manfrotto RC2 and Arca-swiss.
