The Photography Show Super Stage Line-Up announced

The UK's biggest photography show for professional photographers, enthusiasts and retailers is once again proving that it can attract some of the highest profile names in photography


Confirmed Super Stage speakers for this year's event, held at the Birmingham NEC from the 21st to the 24th of March, are

For the second year in a row, The Photography Show will present some of the most influential and respected photographers in the world. Over four days the Super Stage will host this diverse group of photographers as they discuss their distinguished careers providing insight, inspiration and entertainment to the 500 seater theatre.

Tom Stoddart - A Photojournalist's Life - 11.00, Saturday 21st

Kicking the show off at 11am on Saturday morning, Tom Stoddart will take you on a visual journey through a career that began as a local newspaper photographer to one of the world's most respected photojournalists. During his long and varied career Tom has documented international events such as the fall of the Berlin Wall, the bloody siege of Sarajevo and the election of Nelson Mandela, as well as gaining exclusive access to document the lives of Prime Ministers past and present. Mary Ellen Mark - Seeing the Extraordinary in Reality - 13.30, Saturday 21st
Winner of the 2014 Lifetime Achievement in Photography Award, Mary Ellen Mark provides an insight into four decades of photography where she has travelled extensively to make pictures that reflect a high degree of humanism. Renowned worldwide for her work, her images have become landmarks in the field of documentary photography. More information on Mary Ellen Mark

Tim Flach - Who's Upside Down - Us or the Bats - 16.00, Saturday 21st
London based photographer Tim Flach rounds off Saturday on the Super Stage with what promises to be a thought-provoking discussion. His distinctive photographic style is derived from his concerns with anthropomorphism and anthropocentrism and his interests lie in the way we, as humans, shape animals and shape their meaning. Michael Kenna - Influences, Inspirations and Magic - 11.00, Sunday 22nd
Don't even think about having a lie-in on Sunday morning The first speaker up on Super Stage Sunday is none other than Michael Kenna. Widely considered to be one of the most influential landscape photographers of his generation, Michael Kenna will discuss his influences, inspirations, ideas and techniques as he shares 40 years of photographic experiences.More information on Michael Kenna

Susan Meiselas - The Motivation Behind the Image - 13.30, Sunday 22nd
Magnum photographer, Susan Meiselas gives an insight into her projects to date, the motivation behind her images and their relevance to the world. Listen as Susan explains how her work has transcended beyond photojournalism through her use of archival material, on site installations, and long term relationships with communities. Martin Parr - An Insight into the Photographer, Curator and Editor - 16.00 Sunday 22nd & 11.00, Monday 23rd
You can't afford to miss this rare chance to hear from one of Britain's best known photographers, celebrated for his wry social observation and peerless documentary skills. Simon Norfolk - The Passions and Inspirations that get my Work in the Best Magazines - 13.30, Monday 23rd
A regular contributor to major publications, acclaimed landscape photographer Simon Norfolk shares the ideas that inspire him and how he is able to deliver original, well researched and thoroughly crafted images. Lynsey Addario - It's What I Do A Photographer's Life of Love and War - 16.00, Monday 23rd
Rounding off the penultimate day at The Photography Show is Pulitzer-Prize winning photojournalist Lynsey Addario. She has survived death threats and two kidnappings to bring back powerful images from major conflicts. Lynsey will share the realities of working in a war zone and explain what it is that keeps her going back. More information on Lynsey Addario

Don McCullin - Photographing Conflict - 14.30, Tuesday 24th
The last speaker on this year's Super Stage is the world's greatest living photographer working in areas of conflict - Don McCullin. Understand how he works, how it affected him and how he survived. Hard-hitting, thought provoking and inspiring. Not to be missed.
