And all those lucky enough to attend high society functions which feature magnificent plates of food, or indeed a low-key soiree at the village hall with nothing more than a budget buffet to whet your appetite. Your party food photos could bag you a big prize!
The Food for Celebration category sponsored by Champagne Taittinger, are seeking celebratory food from around the globe, people preparing food, people eating food, people dancing around food, the more inspiring the better.
A wedding reception can provide so many opportunities to snap that award-winning photo - generations gathering, creating mayhem and merriment for those forever memories to treasure and share!
You may also wish to delve into your photo archives for pictures of a birthday party or Christmas Day feast. Divali, Thanksgiving or Chanukah, who knows, the moment you captured at a garden party last year, could not only win you the Food for Celebration category, but also the much-coveted overall title of Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year, a cash prize of £5000 and inclusion in the Awards’ global publicity campaign.
Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year is the world’s leading celebration of food photography and film. The judges, chaired by Jay Rayner, include David Loftus, Jamie Oliver’s photographer, legendary Chef Gary Rhodes, Wajmah Yaqubi, Buzzfeed Global Photo Editor and many other stars of the food and photography world. The winners’ exhibition is held at the world famous Mall Galleries, London in late April 2017.
Make sure you submit the images from your big day by Sunday 5 February 2017.
