AKVIS Refocus 8.0: Fixing Out-Of-Focus Images and Applying Blur Effects

AKVIS announces the release of AKVIS Refocus 8.0, the focus adjustment software for Windows and Mac.

The new version provides a number of new features and improvements: possibility to save and load custom presets, batch processing for all modes, improved Crop tool, and other changes.

AKVIS Refocus is a powerful tool that improves clarity of any photo recovering lost image detail and applies different blur effects. The program can process the entire photo or bring into focus only the selected part to make the subject stand out against the background. It's also possible to add bokeh and lens blur effects to your images.

The program works in five modes:

  • Refocus mode helps you improve the sharpness of the area you want in focus or sharpen the entire photo.
  • Tilt-Shift mode creates a band of sharp focus and turns normal sized scenes into miniature-like.
  • Iris Blur mode creates a blurred vignette effect keeping the centre area in focus.
  • Motion Blur lets you simulate the effect of motion in an image.
  • Radial Blur simulates the result of a zooming or rotating camera.

Version 8.0 includes the possibility to save and load custom presets. Use this feature to restore presets after installing the software on a new system or even to share your experience with other users.

The Batch Processing feature is now available for all editing modes. Process series of photos in a single go!

The Crop tool has been improved. After cropping an image in the new version, the previously drawn strokes don't get lost.

The software runs on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10; and on Mac OS X 10.7-10.11 and macOS 10.12. The product is available as a standalone application and as a plugin to a photo editor.

AKVIS Refocus 8.0 Home sells for $39, Deluxe for $49, Business for $72. One license key allows activating and using the software on two computers.

It is a free upgrade for recent buyers as well for those who bought 1 Year of Updates during the last 12 months! Users, whose license is not valid for the new version, can get Refocus 8.0 for only $14.95.
