He said: ''This important acquisition by Aurelius comes at a key moment in the evolution of Bowens International. I am very excited at the prospect of leading what is a new-look and extremely talented team at this legacy company. We are at the point of introducing what we see as both ground breaking and competitively-priced new lighting products for our global customer base.''
Bowens International director Andreas Schaefer said: ''Aurelius is a prominent European investment group with offices in London, Munich, Stockholm and Madrid. This acquisition will provide us with long-term strategic direction alongside the financial support and stability that we need to fully exploit our market potential.''
He added: ''Both Aurelius and Bowens wish to acknowledge the input and commitment of former interim manager John Gobbi who has been a real agent for change in this business and now moves on to fresh commercial challenges.''
Tristan Nagler, Aurelius UK MD said: ''This acquisition matches our pan-European focus. We are confident that by providing the current management teams with the financial and hands-on operational support to implement their development plans, we can capitalise on the opportunity created by the ongoing growth in the high-end segment of the photography market.''
*The Aurelius investment portfolio currently consists of twenty two businesses with operations in Europe, Asia and the USA, incorporating traditional consumer bands, services businesses and industrial enterprises.
