Taking place at the NEC in Birmingham, 17-20th March 2018, The Photography Show showcases all the best and brightest names in the photography trade. Naturally, as an expert worldwide distributor of photo and video equipment, Kenro will have a prominent stand at the exhibition, giving you a chance to come and get hands-on with all our new and forthcoming kit, as well as checking out some old favourites. Come and find us in Hall 5, Stand G53.
Amongst the newest kit in the Kenro-branded hardware range is the 4-in-1 Film and Photo Scanner, KNSC301. Launching mid-March 2018, this scanner supports photos 3.5x5'', 6x4'' and 7x5'', business cards, 35mm negative or positive film strips, and 35mm slides. The scanner has a 5.1 MP CMOS sensor, a resolution of 10 megapixels (3600dpi) interpolated, as well as a built-in 2.4'' LCD screen for previewing images and making simple edits before saving.
Also new from Kenro is a high-spec, low-cost Macro Ring Flash, available in Canon or Nikon fit. The KFL201 enables shadow-free, close-up photography at a very affordable price. Featuring a guide number of GN14 (ISO 100), TTL, manual and multi modes, LED modelling lamps, and independent A:B power adjust functions, this ring flash also comes with a soft carry case and 8 different sizes of adapter ring.
We also have a huge range of exciting additions to our agency lines, starting with the new Marumi DHG Super ND500 and DHG Super ND1000. These new filters, equivalent to 9 and 10 stop respectively, are each available in 9 different sizes 49-82mm and boast a range of high-end features including neutral colour balance, a special water- and oil-repellent coating, slim profile to avoid vignetting and an ultra-low reflection rate to eliminate ghosting and flare. They also have a tough, scuff-resistant coating to protect the filter from the scratches and knocks that can ruin a long-exposure shot. These Japanese filters can be used to create ethereal, flowing landscapes that capture the quality of movement within a static shot.
Also new from Marumi are the 6X and 8X star cross filter ranges, available in 13 sizes 37-82mm. These DHG filters convert every bright point of light in your image to six- or eight-point stars respectively, allowing you to create sparkling illuminations and nightscapes, adding interest to all kinds of photographs. This filter can also be used for video, with a rotating front ring to create a unique starburst effect on your footage.
Our latest products from the Japanese flashgun experts, Nissin, are the all-new Air 10s Commanders, which work with the Nissin Air System, a TiPA award-winning 2.4 GHz wireless radio flash system. These upgraded wireless triggers can be used to quickly and seamlessly operate a large number of flashes via 2.4 GHz radio control, and are reliable whether you’re in a dark indoor studio or a bright outdoor setting. This innovative wireless trigger has a number of advanced features, including the ability to control up to 8 groups of flashguns, all with different settings, from up to 100 metres away. It allows you to retain complete control over all functions, adjust and fine-tune your exposure in 1/3 EV increments, switch between manual and TTL modes, control high speed sync, rear curtain sync and more on dozens of compatible flashguns with a single trigger, no matter what camera fit the flashgun is. Currently available in Canon and Nikon fits, with Micro Four Thirds, Fuji and Sony coming soon.
Also new from Nissin is the LS-50C carbon fibre light stand. A masterpiece of portability, this is the lightest in the world, weighing in at just 575g and folding down to a miniscule 48.5cm, with a maximum working height of 200cm.
In the Sevenoak range of film making and stabilisation equipment, two new products are making their debut at The Photography Show: the pocket-sized Smart Grip, designed for steadying smartphones and mounting accessories such as light pads and microphones, and the MicRig Stereo. This anti-shake, lightweight rig and grip is an all-in-one solution for video and sound, featuring an integrated stereo shotgun microphone in the handle. It features a comfortable, ergonomic grip, a built-in cold shoe on the top for mounting accessories, and is supplied with mounts and audio cables for smartphones, action cameras and DSLRs.
New to the NanGuang range of LED continuous lighting is the V29C Venus LED Ring Light. This ring light can be powered by the included AC power adapter, or by Sony NP-F series batteries, making it perfect for taking on location shoots. Weighing 910g, with a power output of 29W and giving up to 2050 LM illumination, this CRI 95 light has stepless brightness adjustment 0-100% as well as stepless colour temperature control 5600-3200K. Also new to the lighting range is the family of NanGuang RGB lights, a game-changing series of LED lights that can produce any colour on the RGB spectrum without requiring any additional filters or accessories. These lights come in three different sizes and all feature 2.4 GHz wireless radio control for use with the NanGuang CN-A25 remote control. These innovative lights allow photographers to paint with light, creating colourful lighting effects without filters. Film makers can use these lights to set the scene, express emotions and create beautiful, complex lighting with minimal effort.
Alongside all this fantastic new hardware, Kenro will be exhibiting a selection of its most popular albums and frame ranges, including a huge selection of new products such as the freestanding solid rubberwood Horizon frame range, the new Old World Map travel journal, and the colourful Candy Spots & Stripes series of albums.
