New Protective Case with Lens Thread for iPhone 7

The ExoLens Case protects the smartphone in everyday use and is simultaneously the mount for the accessory lenses ExoLens PRO with Optics by ZEISS

Good news for smartphone photographers: ZEISS partner ExoLens has presented a practical, "one-for-all" solution to attach the accessory lenses ExoLens PRO with Optics by ZEISS to the iPhone 7 - the ExoLens Case. Made of a robust plastic material, the case protects the iPhone against drops and scratches in everyday use. Photographers wishing to shoot with one of the three accessory lenses - wide-angle, telephoto or macro-zoom - simply screw the optics into the integrated thread. The ExoLens Case for the iPhone 7 is available as of April at camera specialty stores and via the ExoLens online shop (exolens.com/shop), and the Case for the iPhone 7 Plus later this year. The price is €59.99 or US$49.95 (recommended selling price).

ExoLens Bracket and ExoLens Edge
In addition to the new Case, there are two other ways of attaching the accessory lenses ExoLens PRO with Optics by ZEISS to iPhones: the ExoLens aluminum bracket features a standard tripod thread and cold shoe mount, allowing the attachment of, for example, an external video light or a microphone. The compact version ExoLens Edge, also made of aluminum, is attached to the edge of the smartphone. A cold shoe mount is also integrated here. Both mounting solutions are available for the iPhone 6 and 7 families, with one exception: the bracket is not available for the iPhone 7 Plus.

More creative possibilities for smartphone photographers
The three accessory lenses ExoLens PRO with Optics by ZEISS enhance the creative possibilities of smartphone photographers. The wide-angle lens increases the field of view and provides more information in the image – a definite advantage for landscape and architectural photography or for group photos. The telephoto lens, on the other hand, ensures that the photographer can get closer to the subject without zooming. The benefit: the image quality is unimpaired. If the integrated digital zoom of the camera is used, the image quality deteriorates, causing graininess in the photo. The macro lens is ideal for detailed shots and offers edge-to-edge image excellence.
