With 2016 global film volume up by more than 5%, the historic brand is keen to build on this momentum and help spearhead the resurgence in analogue photography.
''Just Add’ invites film photographers to think about the emotional and physical context of their subject.'' Giles Branthwaite, Sales and Marketing Director at Harman Technology explains. ''The creative potential of black & white film photography is immense and images can have the power to captivate, inspire and convey emotion.''
He adds, ''Our customers always amaze us with the quality and diversity of their images and we love to see their passion and skill come through in their work. With ‘Just Add’ we are challenging them to show how their photography can be used to inspire, tell stories or drive change.''
The initiative launches with a competition which runs until the end of March in which photographers are invited to share their images on the ILFORD PHOTO Facebook page or tag them on Twitter or Instagram using #JustAdd and the descriptive word. Further terms as well as prize details can be found on their website www.ilfordphoto.com/JustAdd
The campaign is only one of a number of exciting initiatives planned for 2017 as the company looks to encourage new users to try film photography and existing customers to shoot more. This includes a major overhaul of their website, increased social media engagement and the development of fresh content that seeks to educate and inspire.
