The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers have announced the winners of the Nature’s Surprises Photography Competition.
Paul Smith from Suffolk, England was chosen as the winner.
Paul has won 12 months membership to The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers (SINWP) organisation a pair of Tasco binoculars plus a .photo lens clip.
Paul explains his 1st place image ''That’s awesome. Nikon D4S with a Nikon 600mm f/4 + 1.4 TC (850mm) @ 1/1000sec, f/8, ISO3200, Taken in Tunstall Forest, near Woodbridge Suffolk last Autumn.’’
Phil Jones, the Societies CEO says, ''Pauls’ image captures the moment brilliantly, fulfilling the essence of the theme of the competition perfectly. ’’
The 2nd place and 3rd place was jointly awarded to Anup Deodhar from Maharashtra, India who tells us
‘’About the 2nd placed image: This is egg of Amboli bush frog size approximately 4mm , this image was shot with Nikkor 105mm 2.8 Macro lens and Nikon D750 . this frog species is endemic to Amboli situated in Western ghats of Maharashtra State India.’’
‘’About the 3rd place image: This Fan throated lizard male in breeding plumage , in this image it can be seen that the lizard is standing taking support of the stick just to take a high point to scan his territory for any intrusion by other male . these lizard s are very aggressive and fights between males are frequent. they display their fan to attract females . these lizards are seen in Satar district of Maharashtra state India from March to May which is also their breeding season. Nikkor 300mmf4 and Nikon D7100’’
