When did it all start for Adam Alex?
Adam Alex discovered his love for photography at the tender age of 13. This love developed into a deep passion that took him straight through to university where he started his HND in photography. Whilst studying for his HND, Adam Alex decided to leave after completing his first year. After much debate this decision proved to be very profitable as it enabled him to pursue a more hands-on approach to his career.

Nick’s 20 years behind the lens have seen him build up a successful

When did it all start for Adam Alex?
He soon became a freelance photographer and began to expand his
knowledge and network by the day. He also expanded his skills as a
digital artist and established himself as a well-qualified and respected
retoucher, working for some of the UK’s leading advertising
photographers. He spent a further two years teaching photography and
digital arts to adults in further education at colleges and universities
around London.
Then, like many, he started shooting weddings for friends and family.
Within this time he was consistently investing time and effort in
developing his style and building his brand Adam Alex Photography; he
wanted to offer a style of photography that was vibrant and
fashion-based. Adam’s ethic of Enovation is the key to keeping on top in
the industry and keeping his clients fulfilled and coming back for more.
Since the launch of Adam Alex Photography in 2007, Adam has had swift
rise to success and this has placed him as one of the UK’s leading
wedding photographers. Adam's reputation for capturing intimate,
passionate and signature images is what his reputation is built upon. He
has taken UK wedding photography to new heights and along the way has
developed his unique, captivating, fine art style that is in high
demand. At the age of 29, Adam has been credited by winning a number of
national and International awards for his talents and recently winning
five print accolades of excellence at the WPPI 20x16 print competition
and 2x Albums, under the album category.

studios in Australia. Nick’s passionate approach to photography and
business makes him an industry leader and has seen him at the top of his
field for the last 10 years. His clients and peers alike admire his

Las Vegas, the world’s largest photographic trade show, WPPI, where he
took first place in the 2010 Fashion Category of the 16x20 competition.
In just three years of entering the prestigious competition he has won
first place in the Bride and Groom Category, first place in Scientific
and Industrial as well as the Humour Category, thus confirming once
again the high level of consistency and versatility that Nick Ghionis is
renowned for.
Wedding photography and portraits remain a
great love for Nick and Adam, givin
g them extra scope to be creative and
to work with people. Wedding photography gives a photographer the
privilege of being around people at very intimate moments. We are
invited in to capture the moments, moods and events that surround a
wedding. It’s so much more than just the wedding ceremony; it’s the joy
and tension that goes into that event and the celebrations that follow.
What now?
Adam Alex is also now working towards contributing to the industry by
inviting his friend Nick Ghionis for a joint workshop in London this
July.
Nick Ghionis and Adam Alex will
be holding a full-on action-packed workshop where they will teach a
compact, tangible two-day workshop, covering all the important aspects
of wedding photography and running a successful business. The students
will be shooting with live models, shown live editing and covering
photographic topics such as posing, lighting, off-camera flash, video
lighting,
preparing for the wedding day and even album design. They will
also be taught techniques to optimise sales through shooting and story
telling and how they can affect after sales. The workshop will be lots
of fun and very interactive for the students. It will be located in
central London, where the students will walk through the streets in two
classes, being shown how to shoot in everyday locations and how to work
with a variety of lighting types. We are extremely proud to announce
that the half day seminar sponsored by Graphistudio sold out 250 seats
in 48 Hours! Due to the high demand for places on the workshop, we
recommend you register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.:
