The Hahnemühle Anniversary Collection is a Showcase of Talent

A beautiful collection of images was exquisitely presented during the exhibition in London’s cultural Bankside, gaining attention from prestigious galleries and media.

The launch night was attended by over 100 luminaries of the professional photography world, visitors included many reputed photographers and industry faces: “It’s hard to use words to describe the visual luxury that the Hahnemühle Exhibition presented” comments Roderick Field, a UK photographer featured in the National Portrait Gallery collection, “widely varied subjects and the eclectic expression of the exhibitors... the detail shone through and made me want to touch the paper, climb into the stories”.

Hahnemühle is proud to be involved with such talented photographers from around the world, and has been overwhelmed by the high quality of work submitted. The London exhibition of the Hahnemühle Anniversary Collection exhibited the selected finalists from over 7,100 images which were entered to be awarded a place in the collection.

Guernsey based creative photographer and digital artist Steven Le Prevost won the Architecture & Still Life 1st Prize. “To be one of the winners was a great honour, especially when in such illustrious company as some of the other artists being displayed.” His work combines elements of traditional photography with a variety of art and digital techniques.

Winner of the Students Award in the same category was Nazish Hussain. As one of three student winners, Hahnemühle will invest 4,000 Euros worth of materials to facilitate her University. Her work ‘Secret City – Enfilade’ recreates familiar spaces and invites the viewer to look at their own environment and further explore the city.

Other UK award winners included Pippa Ashworth and Myrto Lazopoulou who’s works were also of exceptional standard.

The exhibition moves to Paris for the next leg of it’s tour around the world, which will be making stops as far away as New York and Hong Kong. More info on hahnemuehle.com
