Kenro launches new Reflecta video lights range

08/06/11

Kenro has announced the UK availability of three new Reflecta video lights.

The Reflecta RAVL 100 LED, Reflecta DR100, and the Reflecta RAVL200 LED are all available now.

The Reflecta RAVL 100 is recommended for illuminations at short distances, for example, close ups of faces or to brighten up shadows. It benefits from two steps of brightness, is lightweight and it fits to almost every camcorder shoe with its universal foot.

The RAVL 100 can be used for about 8 hours at full brightness with 3x AAA size alkaline-manganese batteries and can be swivelled upwards by 90 deg. It comes with a special reflector plus a convex softglass for a lighting angle of 43 degrees and is available with an RRP of £22.99.

The Reflecta RAVL 200 features a powerful 3W LED lighting source with an intensity of light of 80 lux which can be operated at two steps of brightness and a lighting angle of 43 degrees with the built-in reflector.

With its universal shoe with fixing screw, the RAVL 200 is lightweight and fits most camcorders. The camera bracket which is also included allows the RAVL 200 to be used universally. The bracket allows the light to be mounted at the side of the camcorder or it can be used for camcorders which come without the shoe.

The light is operated by 3 x AAA size 1.5V dry batteries, has a burning time of approximately four hours at full capacity and weighs around 93g with batteries. It has an RRP of £45.00.

The Reflecta DR100 Battery Video Light is fitted with safety glass and works with the included lead-acid battery of 12V / 7500 mAh. The battery is located in a shoulder bag that can also be hung on the centre column of the tripod to give a firmer foot-hold.

The Reflecta DR 100 is supplied with an extender to mount the light onto a camera and a hand-grip that allows the light to be held. It is equipped with connecting cables, a cigarette lighter plug to use via the cigarette lighter in a car, and a charging plug that will recharge the battery in less than 14 hours. A 100 watt halogen lamp and a fully recharged battery give enough power for 40 minutes. The DR 100 has an RRP of £149.99.

Kenro's Managing Director, Paul Kench, says: "These new video lights from Reflecta offer a cost-effective lighting solution for a host of uses. They are lightweight, compact and easy to operate, and like all products in the Reflecta range are built to last."

Photo Quote: A person is quite different from a tree or rock or stream. By introducing the nude into my pictures, I started perceiving all the things I was photographing in new ways. In contrast or opposition to each other, things became much more significant and interesting, revealing many more qualities than I had ever dreamed of knowing and expressing. By using the nude, I stopped thinking in terms of objects. I was seeing things, instead, as dynamic events, unique in their own beings yet also related and existing together within a universal context of energy and change. - Wynn Bullock
