World-acclaimed Photoshop expert plans exclusive workshop with Hasselblad.

14/04/11

Up close and personal with Martin Evening at the Hasselblad Studio

Martin Evening, one of the world’s leading experts on Photoshop and digital imaging is set to host an exclusive ‘bespoke-style’ Digital Workflow training day at the new Hasselblad Studio in Hoxton, north London on Friday June 10.

The London-based advertising/fashion photographer, international lecturer and author of a number of best-selling books on Photoshop and digital imaging (including the best-seller Adobe Photoshop CS5 for photographers), will offer delegates the opportunity to bring in their own RAW files for review, advice and adjustment as part of the full day agenda.

He said: “This will be a very special event for a limited number of photographers. I will be talking about key controls in Camera Raw/Lightroom for raw images and how to make the most of them. I plan a separate session on maximising sharpness and noise reduction controls – and an extended ‘up close and personal’ time for problem solving using delegates’ own photographs. I know from experience that photographers really like to learn how they might process their work in a different way. And the true versatility of CS5 will be underlined within this personalised training event.”

Hasselblad Studio manager Natasha Cheek added: “We are delighted to have signed Martin for what will be a truly compelling training day on June 10. Hopefully it will be the first of a series. Martin is a world-class authority on Photoshop and delegates can seize a unique opportunity to work very closely with him, including 1-2-1 throughout the day. Each photographer will be able to leave with his/her files and Martin’s adjustments and advice – and all for £250 plus VAT for the day, including lunch.”

She added: “I believe this is a must-do event at this price for photographers who already have some Photoshop knowledge but want to learn more, up their game, or who want to correct the mistakes they may be making. At this price point the day represents extreme value for money. Photographers will learn about latest rejigs and tools in CS5 and how to use levels, curves and layering correctly.”

The ‘Digital Workflow with Martin Evening’ training day will start at 9/30am and run until 6pm on Friday June 10.
Places are limited to TWELVE ONLY and Hasselblad advises interested photographers to contact the studio without delay to reserve a place.

Photo Quote: I have often thought that if photography were difficult in the true sense of the term -- meaning that the creation of a simple photograph would entail as much time and effort as the production of a good watercolor or etching -- there would be a vast improvement in total output. The sheer ease with which we can produce a superficial image often leads to creative disaster. - Ansel Adams
