12/07/11

Harvest Music and Food Festival - 9-11 September 2011

To celebrate the launch of the LS-20; a new recorder to capture HD sound with HD movies, Olympus is pleased to announce its collaboration with Harvest. Hosted by the legendary Alex James, Harvest is taking place in Kingham, Oxfordshire on 9-12 September and offers a unique combination of great music and food.

The partnership will focus on the new Olympus LS-20, which offers recording studio sound quality with HD movie capture and is a must have piece of kit for musicians, journalists, podcasters and nature lovers.

The LS-20 is being used to capture interviews and scenes from the festival with music acts currently confirmed to include, The Feeling, Athlete, KT Tunstall, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Jo Whiley, Communion, Gilles Peterson and Benjamin Francis Leftwich. Top chefs also attending Harvest include, Rachel Allen, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Richard Corrigan and Valentine Warner.

Stylish and compact, the Olympus LS-20 lets you create unique and inspiring films thanks to a range of Movie effects, including Pop Art, Pin Hole, Punk and Sketch. It also features dual LCD technology allowing you to keep an eye on your audio and visual recordings for a professional style finish.

Movies are filmed from the top of the recorder allowing you to capture a range of angles; you can also flip the device to shoot overhead or in crowded environments and the left and right channel of the built-in stereo microphones are automatically reversed, allowing you to easily view your recording on the LCD screen.

Sharing your creations is simple as the LS-20 supports the 640X480 (30fps/ MP3) format suitable for uploading your films to the Internet. You can also connect your recorder to your PC to use it as a webcam and share live band rehearsals. The line in socket also doubles as the microphone socket so external equipment, for example a mixing desk can be connected.

More details on the exciting collaboration between the Olympus LS-20 and Harvest will be announced soon.
