Canon & Profoto Product Day with Calumet Photographic

A Canon rep will be in-store for a one-day product demonstration of their high performancerange of DSLRs including the new EOS 40D & EOS 1Ds MkIII.

Canon will also have their award winning Pixma Pro printers on display. Each printer in the PIXMA range produces high quality and high-speed prints. There may be the opportunity to take advantage of direct printing, so come along and test out their latest technologies.

Profoto will be demonstrating their market leading generators and you will have the opportunity to see their extensive light shaping range.

Printing Seminar with Jonathan Briggs

Jonathan Briggs has worked across the photography and graphics industries for over ten years with experience gained in the commercial photography, design, publishing and training fields. Now an independent consultant to major manufacturers including Epson, Apple, Adobe and Canon, Jonathan is known for his practical and down to earth approach that gives users real-world knowledge that can be easily applied to everyone’s digital learning.

This printing seminar provides expert guidance on the fundamentals of image capture, processing and print workflow.

Perfect Portraiture Demo Day

Calumet has worked together with four of its suppliers to produce the ideal solution to portrait studio workflow management. We will be holding a FREE one day event where pre-registered visitors will be able to receive instruction on the whole portraiture process as demonstrated in a working studio set up.

Fuji will demonstrate their “Green box” solution to colour management and will have their award winning FUJI S5 Pro Digital SLR camera in use in the studio area.

Sigma will provide lenses for use on the FUJI D SLR camera that are ideal for portraiture. They will also have a set of the most popular lenses from the SIGMA DC & DG ranges available for demonstration as well as their flashguns and their new SIGMA DP1 14 megapixel compact digital camera

JP Distribution, the agents for brands such as Mamiya, Lastolite, Sekonic will be setting up a studio backdrop and lighting package for the live demonstrations.

And Epson will be producing images taken on the day on their latest high quality long life image ink jet printers.

In between the morning and afternoon demonstrations there will be some opportunity, under supervision, for visitors to take a few portrait shots of the models to see just how expert control can help in achieving the ‘perfect portrait’.
