Say goodbye to disappointing results thanks to Canon’s unique, high-performance HS System. Whether capturing the atmosphere of a party, or the rich colour of a sunny summer’s day, Canon’s HS System gives you exceptional image quality in all conditions. Even in dimly-lit environments where shots can be unclear, grainy and lacking in detail, the HS System produces clear, natural-looking images without having to use the flash – delivering all-round performance from a stylish body you can take anywhere.

Shoot exceptional images, with confidence
There’s no need to worry about settings thanks to Canon’s Smart Auto mode, which automatically detects up to 32 different scenes and takes care of everything for you so all you have to do is point, shoot and enjoy capturing the moment. Be sure to get the perfect result if you’re photographing tricky, fast-moving action with High-speed Burst Mode, which takes a rapid burst of shots and freezes the action to either capture the perfect moment or a whole sequence of shots. You can also capture beautiful night-time shots using Handheld Night Scene, which shoots a number of pictures of the same scene in sucession and combines them to create one blur-free, and perfectly exposed image.

Shoot more with Movie Mode
As well as impressive stills, you can instantly record Full HD 1080p movies by pressing the dedicated movie record button as the action unfolds - allowing you to capture special moments in stunning clarity. For even more artistic movies, Super Slow Motion Movie can capture life up to eight times slower than real-time. Capture the moment before each photo you take with the new Movie Digest mode which records up to four seconds before every still image taken, before joining the clips together to create a bonus movie to complement your photos.

Express your creativity
Free your imagination and experiment with wide range of creative shooting modes on the IXUS 115 HS, including Toy Camera effect, which re-creates the look and feel of images produced by an older-style camera; or create bright, retro looking images with Poster Effect. Put yourself in the picture with clever Smart Shutter, which uses a wink, a smile or the appearance of an additional face in the scene to trigger a perfect portrait or group shot. You can even shoot underwater down to depths of 3m with a lightweight, compact waterproof case, or go down further with a 40m diving case, giving you incredible flexibility.
