ILFORD offers photographers even greater flexibility with its pre-mounted
GALERIE boards
High quality, cost effective, inkjet printing solutions for the professional
imaging market and digital artist
Following an increase in demand from creative photographers, design houses,
advertising agencies and exhibition stand producers, ILFORD is pleased to
re-introduce its GALERIE pre-mounted boards in its Smooth Pearl and Gloss
surfaces.
Aimed at photographers wishing to print directly onto a rigid substrate in one
easy operation, ILFORD GALERIE pre-mounted boards allow images up to 20” x 24”
(50cm x 61cm) to be produced. GALERIE boards are supplied slightly oversize to
enable production of full format photographs and are ideally suited for use with
EPSON ® Stylus™ Pro Printers, including the latest 7880 and 9880 models. They
are also compatible with the EPSON® Photo 2400 which accepts board media. With
pre-mounted boards, images can be created off the printer and placed straight
into a frame, generating savings on time and money and vastly reducing the risk
of damaging the picture during the print mounting process.
The GALERIE media is resin coated to provide a more robust surface for longer
lasting image quality. The Smooth Pearl and Gloss finishes use the latest
nanoporous technology, are ‘instant dry’ and can be handled immediately after
printing, ideal for those in a fast moving environment. Additionally, with the
availability of roll, sheet and boards, photographers can easily produce
identical high quality images on each format without the need to make changes to
media settings or profiles. ICC profiles and printer loading instructions are
available from the website: http://www.ilford.com.
“The market for pre-mounted boards is growing and ILFORD is one of the few
companies in the photographic market to offer such a product line,“ said Andrew
Stewart, Sales and Marketing Director, ILFORD Imaging Switzerland GmbH. “ILFORD
understands that pre-mounts are ideal for use in advertising as point of sale
materials. We therefore decided to re-launch our GALERIE pre-mounted board range
to cater for the digital artist who was looking for a cost-effective, yet high
quality inkjet solution.”
Availability
ILFORD pre-mounted GALERIE boards are available in Smooth Pearl and Gloss
surfaces. Packs of 10 as oversize boards allow 10 x12, 11 x 14, 12 x 16, 16 x 20
and 20 x 24 inch images to be printed (25.4 x 30.5, 27.9 x 35.6, 30.5 x 40.6,
40.4 x 50.8, and 50.8 x 61cm).
