Hahnel HC-40D Infrapro Battery Grip for Canon

17/03/08

Hähnel industries, one of the leading battery and charger manufacturers in Europe, have now added a unique product to their Battery Grip range for Canon Digital SLRs.

The HC-40D Infrapro has a built-in infra-red remote control system and is suitable for Canon 40D/30D/20D digital cameras. As some Canon digital SLRs do not have an integrated infra-red receiver, and only offer the remote control as an expensive separate accessory, Hähnel have managed to create the perfect solution for users of these cameras.

By introducing a battery grip with an infra-red remote control system, Hähnel have enabled such Canon camera users to experience the benefits of a fully integrated remote control system, even if their particular camera does not offer such an advantage.

The new HC-40D Infrapro Battery Grip is the replacement for the previous HC-30D Battery Grip and retains all the features of the HC-30D grip. These features include Vertical shutter release, rotary dial and battery tray for one or two Li-Ion batteries or six AA batteries. Batteries are not included with the battery grip. Along with all these features, the HC-40D Infrapro also has an infra-red receiver built into the grip and a small remote control transmitter included in the packaging. The remote control has an effective range of up to six meters, autofocus before shutter release and continuous shooting and bulb function for as long as the transmitter button remains pressed down.

As with all battery grips from Hähnel, the HC-40D Infrapro has a stylish design which matches perfectly with the camera, enables power to be doubled with space for two Li-Ion batteries, has built-in power management and enables improved camera handling as it is designed to give a lower point of gravity.

The HC-40D Infrapro will be appearing in camera shops from the end of April/ May 2008 and will be the ideal power solution for users of Canon 40D/30D and 20D digital cameras.
