Lowepro expands its range with a new series of purpose-built bags to enhance the experience of wildlife watchers who use optics gear.
The leading brand of protective gear for photography equipment has
unveiled a brand new range of four products which have been specifically
designed for optics users. The Field Station, Scope Travel 200AW, Scope
PhotoTravel 350AW and Scope Porter 200AW have been designed to provide
wildlife watchers with long-wearing comfort, hands-free support and the
freedom to move with ease while out in the field.
These four models offer a variety of flexible carrying solutions for
binoculars, spotting scopes, tripods, camera equipment, tablet-style
computers, laptops and personal items such as field guides, sunglasses,
water bottles and other creature comforts.
Tim Sadler, Category Manager for Lowepro, said: “The Optics Series™ is a
natural evolution - Lowepro was founded by photographers and photo
professionals who were passionate about nature and the preservation of the
planet. These bags were specifically designed for wildlife watching, and are
like no other products in the marketplace.”
The Lowepro Optics Series™ products include a beltpack; a smaller-scaled
backpack; a larger-scaled photo backpack with a dedicated laptop
compartment; and a unique spotting scope-tripod backpack. Each design is
constructed of rugged and water-resistant materials that resist abrasion and
moisture and are available in a dark olive colour with black detail.
The new bags are available from selected photo specialty and optics outlets
across the country.
Product Specifications
The Field Station is a beltpack designed to offer hands-free support to
birders who spend long hours in the field. It includes thoughtful details
that make it easy to spot and identify species throughout the day. A
patent-pending pull-out QuickShelf™ platform provides a stable base for a
field guide, notebook or tablet-style computer. A padded binoculars
compartment adjusts to fit a variety of models and offers easy access to an
essential piece of gear.
The Scope Travel 200 AW serves as an ideal travel and field optics carrying
solution. Protective and flexible, it includes three padded compartments
that may be adjusted or removed to customise a wildlife-watching kit. Each
compartment fits a specific piece of equipment: a compact spotting scope,
binoculars, and a compact DSLR or smaller system. It also includes Lowepro’s
patented All Weather AW Cover™ to protect valuable gear from the elements.
The Scope Photo Travel 350 AW is a larger-scale backpack constructed to fit
a spotting scope, tripod, binoculars, DSLR, a variety of personal items,
plus a laptop. Five padded compartments are removable and adjustable to
customise a large kit for field or travel use. The Pro-Fit DSLR compartment
may be placed at the top of the pack for easy access when spotting a rare or
exciting photography moment. It also includes a protective All Weather AW
Cover™.
The Scope Porter 200 AW backpack offers a hands-free way to carry and
protect a large-sized spotting scope and tripod. Its unique, patent-pending
attachment system makes it ideal for a variety of wildlife scenarios and
terrains. The pack may be used to carry a spotting scope-tripod set-up while
walking or observing—while carried in the main compartment or secured to
either shoulder strap via a tripod collar and clip attachment system. A
hydration-ready side compartment provides storage and easy access to liquid
from a hydration reservoir (not included). The pack also includes an All
Weather AW Cover™ to protect gear when used with or without a tripod
attached.
