The Plugin Site (www.thepluginsite.com)
has released Standalone/Lightroom versions of its five PhotoWiz
Photoshop plugins for Windows. PhotoWiz is a collection of tools for
correcting, enhancing and restoring digital images, which allow even
beginners to achieve expert results. It consists of ColorWasher,
FocalBlade, LightMachine, B/W Styler and ContrastMaster. The new
releases can be used as standalone Windows applications and external
editors in Adobe Lightroom for Windows.
Features
The new releases allow Lightroom users as well as people without a
compatible host application utilizing the PhotoWiz tools. And even
Photoshop users are able to accomplish image processing tasks, which do
not require manual retouching, in less time with the help of the
standalones.
The PhotoWiz standalones support opening and saving the following image
formats: Camera RAW (350+ camera models including DNG), JPEG, TIFF, PNG,
PSD, BMP, TGA, PCX, PCD, WMF and EMF. They let you open and edit
multiple images non-destructively and batch save them afterwards. Each
standalone can also be used as a RAW converter. RGB images with 8-bit
and 16-bit/channel are supported.
It is possible to employ the PhotoWiz tools as external editors directly
in Adobe Lightroom. This is done by selecting one or more images in
Lightroom and choosing the appropriate PhotoWiz product from the Photo >
Edit In menu or the context menu. The opened images can then be edited
non-destructively and saved by clicking OK. This allows the PhotoWiz
products to be used seamlessly in Adobe Lightroom without interrupting
the user's workflow.
The Tools
The PhotoWiz product line consists of five tools. ColorWasher corrects
the colors, contrast, exposure and saturation of digital and scanned
images.
FocalBlade effectively sharpens images for display and print without
unwanted side-effects. LightMachine offers shadow/highlight, virtual
lighting and color-based photo enhancement tools. B/W Styler produces
B&W conversions, creates traditional B&W effects and styles B&W photos.
Finally, ContrastMaster performs dynamic contrast enhancement as well as
creates dramatic contrast looks, photorealistic paintings and HDR-like
effects.
The PhotoWiz tools offer unique image processing features and accomplish
sophisticated image enhancements. They provide simple as well as
advanced modes for different types of users. Moreover, they enable
satisfying effects quickly as well as bestow the power and control for
obtaining extraordinary results.
Availability & System Requirements
The PhotoWiz tools are available as Photoshop plugins, standalone
applications and Lightroom external editors under Windows. For MacOS X
only Photoshop plugins are currently available.
