Advanced digital imaging specialist SpheronVR presents its latest HDR
(High Dynamic Range) Camera System at Europe’s largest annual imaging
event, Focus 2008 held in Birmingham UK.
The unique SpheroCam HDR records 26 f-stops of exposure data, capturing
a 360 x 180 degree full spherical image and a resolution of up to 50
mega pixels. The latest camera tripod incorporates a specially designed
mounting unit which includes SpheronVR’s three dimensional immersive
measurement device.
SpheronVR’s high performance technology provides the optimum image
quality for use within both: General Scene Documentation Capture and
advanced 3D Computer Graphics visualization techniques.
SpheronVR pioneered the development of this unique 32-bit HDR capturing
device, which has been seen as revolutionary within the Photographic
Industry. It is the first camera able to measure real-world luminosity
values, from the darkest shadow areas through to the brightest sunlight
- within a single scan operation.
Adding real-world light information to accurately illuminate 3D objects
in any location, means the SpheroCam HDR system can enhance the 3D
rendering process used within visualization, advertising photography,
film & effects and games development markets to maximum effect.
The camera system is easy to set-up and reliable every time in capturing
the scene. So there is no more stitching, no more tone-mapping, just one
scan with the SpheroCam HDR and it is done.
Peter Taylor, SpheronVR CGI Business Manager will present live
demonstrations of this latest camera on the SpheronVR stand B53 at
Focus, 24-27 February. Find out how this groundbreaking technology is
being used in the emerging CGI Photography and computer graphics market.
“The SpheroCam HDR system helps bridge the gap between real world
photography and computer graphics modelling.” Peter Taylor, SpheronVR’s
CGI Business Manager.
