Peleman Industries, Inc, manufacturer of the award-winning Unibind high-quality
binding, lamination and professional PhotoBook product lines, are set to
introduce the Your Photobook and My PhotoBook binding solutions at the On Demand
Expo for digital printing in Boston this week.
Co-produced with Kodak, the Unibind Your Photobook binding solution creates
professional lay-flat photo books and calendars for consumers that can be
purchased at in-store kiosks. Your Photobook is a combination of Unibind’s
binding technologies and Kodak’s software and commitment to image preservation.
Any type of photographic prints can be used. Books lay flat, are easy to
assemble, and are high-quality in appearance.
Also new at On Demand, the Unibind My PhotoBook enables retail outlets on a
budget to quickly create bound photo albums from existing chemical print
technology with no equipment, glue or mess. Consumers simply print out their
pages, attach the included coversheets, and remove the adhesive strips to finish
their beautiful customised hardcover keepsake.
Unibind XU Series and BCC10 for high capacity binding
In addition, Unibind will also demo their business-to-business XU binding series
at the show. “In an on-demand world, the XU series can provide the capacity for
99% of the people doing short orders,” said Andy Luedecke, Director of On
Demand, Peleman Industries, Inc. “The XU Series has the ability to bind all
paper types and can do hard and soft cover books and presentations.”
The Unibind BCC10 automated professional binding machine will also be on display
at the On Demand Expo. Built to satisfy the fast-growing demands of the photo
book market, the BCC10 specifically caters to the needs of high-capacity
productions facilities, with a capability of binding up to 400 books per hour.
“Unibind has been a responsive partner, helping Consolidated Graphics meet the
needs of our growing customer base in the on-demand book production market,”
said Betsy Davis, Manager of Digital Solutions, Consolidated Graphics, Inc. “The
Unibind BCC10 has increased efficiency and product consistency.” Consolidated
Graphics (CGX), headquartered in Houston, Texas, is one of North America’s
leading general commercial printing companies with 69 printing facilities and
two technology centers strategically located across 27 states and in Canada.
Unibind products will also be showcased at partner companies’ booths at On
Demand Expo, including Fuji, Canon, and Kodak. For more information, please
