Zebra extend printer range - The new Zebra F680 Digital Photo Printer
delivers quality prints to professional photographers and retailers
instantly.
Zebra Technologies, a worldwide leader in dye sublimation and thermal
transfer printing solutions, announced that professional photographers
can now produce high-quality photo prints in seconds and on location
with the new Zebra F680 Digital Photo Printer. Perfectly sized for
on-site photo printing and retail photo kiosks, the F680 prints
stunning, continuous tone images with superb image quality.
“Created for professional photographers and retailers, the new Zebra
F680 photo printer offers high-speed, professional-quality production
printing,” explains Veraje Anjargolian, vice president and general
manager of Zebra Card Printer Solutions. “Its speed, reliability and
exceptional image quality make it perfect for the production of high
resolution, dye sublimation prints on-demand. With the F680’s compact
and lightweight design, photographers can easily print on-site,
increasing the opportunity for photo sales when emotions and interest
are at their highest.”
Zebra Card Printer Solutions has designed and manufactured OEM photo
printers for the past five years. The Zebra F680 is a third generation
photo printer from Zebra and the first under the Zebra brand, combining
the latest and most advanced dye diffusion technology with superior
image processing capability.
The Zebra F680 produces 3.5 x 5- or 4 x 6in prints in only 10 seconds
and 5 x 7 or 6 x 8in prints in 19 seconds. Using an overlay coating, the
printer creates borderless, archival-quality prints that are protected
from fingerprints and smudges. In addition, the F680’s roll-fed paper
and built-in cutter provide lower paper costs, increased print capacity
and less operator intervention.
“Throughout the world, Zebra is the leader in printers for business
productivity,” Anjargolian added. “With more than five million printers
installed, 90 percent of the Fortune 500 and Global 2000 use Zebra
printers for secure employee identification, efficient supply chain
management and excellent customer service. Now, we are bringing this
same image quality, printer reliability and performance to the needs of
professional photographers and retailers.”
For Professional Photographers
Weighing just 18 pounds (8.2 kg), the F680 photo printer is easily
transportable and ideal for on-site printing, including events, sports
venues, conferences, fundraisers, theme parks, cruise ships, and other
locations where customers want photographs instantly. With the F680,
photographers can print high-quality photos on-site for immediate
delivery and incremental sales. As importantly, the photo printer’s
efficient use of media lets photographers spend more time shooting and
less time changing paper and ribbons.
For Retailers
With billions of digital photographs printed annually, the F680 photo
printer offers retailers a simple way to increase revenue by providing
immediate delivery of high-quality prints. The compact – 11.4 x 11.5 x
17.9 inch (29.0 x 29.2 x 45.5 cm) – design of the F680 photo printer
requires minimal retail counter space and easily fits within small kiosk
enclosures or alongside touch screen systems.
The Zebra F680 photo printer is available now through a network of
distributors. More information is available at the Zebra website.

Convention testimonials Just want to thank you for the amazing SWPP convention. Even though I could only visit yesterday (15th) I had a great time and was great to focus on my business and what I want to achieve both short term and long term and to think of the area that I need to develop my skills in. Photo Quote: In my mind's eye, I visualize how a particular... sight and feeling will appear on a print. If it excites me, there is a good chance it will make a good photograph. It is an intuitive sense, an ability that comes from a lot of practice. - Ansel Adams
