We have been using Photo Suite on and off for
some time now, indeed the old, Genuine Fractals (now Perfect Resize) has been a staunch favourite since it was first launched. Operating, as we do, with 64-bit machines and systems, we were anxious to test this new version of Photo Suite, an all-64-bit compatible issue.

We failed our first test, we could not find the DVD in the box! A quick
phone call to Bob Campbell of onOne left us suitably chastened; it was there, just hidden with a cunning that would confound excise rummage crews all over the world! The disc is hidden between the leaves of the box, we had been reluctant to risk damaging it in case we needed to photograph it – that, Bob is our excuse, and we are sticking to it!

Perfect Photo Suite tackles four of the most-needed photographers’
tasks, namely: Colour Correction, Photographic Effects, Replacing Backgrounds and Resizing images. Perfect Photo Suite 5.5 contains full versions of the following plug-ins (we have used onOne’s descriptions):

Perfect Resize 7 Professional Edition
The next generation of Genuine Fractals is still the industry standard for image enlargement. Resize your images 200%, 400%, 800% or more without the loss of quality you get with other resizing methods. Perfect Resize works with Photoshop, Lightroom, and Aperture or as a standalone application.

Mask Pro 4.1
For removing unwanted backgrounds, Mask Pro is the Photoshop plugin recommended by Advanced Photoshop magazine. Mask Pro makes it easy to create masks, selections and clipping paths on difficult subjects such as hair, glass and fog, all in real-time. Mask Pro is a plug-in for Photoshop.

PhotoFrame 4.6 Professional Edition
With PhotoFrame, you get over 1,000 design elements to add the perfect finishing touch to your photos or create an award-winning album layout design for your clients. PhotoFrame works with Photoshop, Lightroom, and Aperture or as a standalone application.
