Epson R3000 A3+printer
The R3000 was one of the few truly new products on show at Focus on Imaging. As the only two machines currently available at the moment, they certainly caused something of a stir on the enthusiast/prosumer side of the Epson stand. We took the opportunity to run a couple of colour audit test sheets though during a quiet moment (thanks Dan!) and brought them home for analysis.

Epson Stylus Pro 4900 Part 2
We promised to return to the Epson 4900 and explore the performance in more detail. In particular we wished to explore the matt, fine-art paper performance and also to categorise the gamut surface and the performance when reproducing colours out wide in the gamut field.

Epson Stylus Pro 4900
Launched in late 2010, the Epson Stylus Pro 4900 is the flagship 17” model from Epson, sporting the 11-ink highgamut ink set. Known as Vivid Magenta HD (High Dynamic Range) the ink set is shared with the 7900 and 9900, and includes the usual suspects plus an additional orange and green cartridge.
