Synopsis:
John's book of the same name has rapidly become one of the bibles for photographers wanting to get great results from small flashes. In this session John will demonstrate many of the techniques from the book together with some not listed, for getting best use from just one speedlight both on and off camera. He advocates the Nikon CLS system and will fully explain and show you why. To get the best from this day come with your own camera and speedlight together with means of triggering it off camera if at all possible.

How to get best light from on camera flash When in an intense environment such as a wedding to consider moving flash off camera How to modify flash on and off camera for best results What kit you need for a basic off camera flash set up How to assess the necessary blend of ambient light and flash How to use flash without a light meter How to make one flash look like multiple units How to add and take away shape from your subjects How to create mood and drama using your Speedlights.
