Light is all around us. Good job given that we're photographers as it's our most essential resource and we certainly can't do much without it! In this session John will do away with fancy gadgets, flashes, video lights, studio heads and rely on light sources he finds around the venue to create his images. This workshop is straight out of the A Team Book of Photography in that John will use anything at all he can find to add dimension to the images. His only tools will be a reflector and DSLR in this session that will strip your technique back to basics and increase your skill level and understanding many times over.
You will learn
How to assess the quality, quantity, colour and direction of light. How to influence and control ambient light. How to maximise the potential of uninspiring locations by understanding the light. How to flatter your subject using only available ligh.t How to work with strong directional light. How to control flare in your image for artistic effects. How to use one light source for multiple effects. How to use simple light sources around any venue to add depth and dimension to your image making.
